Pig Farm Worker

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform daily tasks related to pig farming such as feeding, cleaning, and maintaining the pig pens.
• Assist with the breeding and birthing process of pigs.
• Monitor and administer necessary vaccinations and medications to ensure the health and well-being of the pigs.
• Keep accurate records of feeding, breeding, and medical treatments.
• Ensure the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the farm premises.
• Assist in the transportation of pigs to and from the farm.
• Maintain and repair farm equipment and structures as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Adhere to strict animal welfare regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other farm workers and supervisors to achieve production goals.

2. Essential Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pig farming or related agricultural work is preferred.
• Ability to handle and work with pigs in a calm and compassionate manner.
• Basic knowledge of pig behaviour and husbandry practices.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
• Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members.
• Reliability and strong work ethic to meet the demands of a busy pig farm.

3. Desired Experience:

The ideal candidate should have a maximum of 3 years of experience in pig farming or a similar role.
