Our client is a two-partner practice employing thirty staff located in Ashbourne & Santry. The practice has a broad range of clients in sole trades, partnerships, audit, non-audit and in terms of industry/sector type. However, they do specialise in Medical Practices. Most of their clients are located in the Meath/Dublin region but they do have a large number around the country also.

They are looking for a Qualified Accountant with a strong practice background to fill either a Senior role or Semi Senior Role.

Main Work Headings:

Preparation and Completion of audit exempt financial statements

Preparation of Accounts for Sole Traders & partnerships – mainly GP Practices
Preparation of tax returns – Income Tax including property rental accounts, Corporation Tax

Some Payroll, VAT and RCT compliance but minimal
Management Accounts for certain clients – generally Quarterly / 6 monthly

Conduct of audits and completion of financial statements
Preparation of budgets and cash flow projections
Dealing with miscellaneous enquires from clients, Banks, Revenue and also Revenue audits

Responsibilities

Preparation of Working Papers & Financial Statements in accordance with Relevant Procedures &Standards
Conduct audits in accordance with auditing principles\standards for a broad range of clients

Preparation of Tax Returns (Corporation Tax and Income Tax)
Investigate all issues on assignments to arrive at a solution or proposal
Ensure completion of assignments within appropriate budget and timeframe
Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients
Carry out assignments in a timely, professional and efficient manner
Achieve fee targets for assigned portfolio
Prepare technical briefs and checklists for staff and clients (not essential)

Qualifications & Experience

ACA/ACCA qualified
3-4+ years general post-qualification experience in Practice
An in-depth knowledge of Accounting and Auditing Standards

Practical Tax Return Preparation Experience (Corporation Tax and Income Tax)

Required Skills
Advanced computer skills preferably in;

1)Surf Accounts Production/Relate Accounts Production or other similar type financial statements package, 2) Revenue on-line service (ROS) 3)Microsoft Excel & Word 4) Payroll package would also be useful.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Self-starter who can critically analyse and assess information
Excellent attention to detail and with an ability to use initiative and maintain confidentiality at all times
