Maintenance Manager – Fulltime



Our Client are looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for the leadership and management of thr maintenance team and overseeing all installation, repairs and up keeping of the site facilities.

Proactive member of the site maintenance team the Maintenance Manager will be expected to contribute significantly to the optimal performance  of all production and office equipment.

The Maintenance Manager needs to be well versed in all maintenance process and Health & Safety Regulations as well as undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, Budgeting, Downtime etc




  • Manage and direct the day to day operations of the engineering and maintenance utilities department including the scheduling and prioritisation of tasks to ensure the continual improvement and minimal plant disruption
  • Proactively work to solve equipment issues, effective fault diagnosis skills and implement short and long term solutions
  • Manage and plan Preventative Maintenance programmes ensuring adherence to the scheme in a timely manner
  • Manage a multi disciplinary team, recruiting where necessary
  • Selection and management of external contractors where necessary to carry out specific duties and tasks and liaise with external contractors whilst onsite in order to ensure compliance to the company and legislative policies
  • Lead the maintenance team in designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods to ensure optimisation of plant and equipment
  • Plan & manage budgets
  • Control of maintenance purchasing stock
  • Monitor and control cost in line with budgetary requirements
  • Ensure rescissory training in accordance with up to date legislation and company policies and procedures is provided
  • Attend daily & weekly meetings as required
  • Provide guidance and support to the maintenance team
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure production targets are met
  • Provide timely feedback to management and maintenance teams
  • Ensure maintenance team comply with company policies and procedures and employment legislation ( clock in/Out procedure)
  • Ensure all Maintenance Personel receive appropriate work plans, training and performance reviews



  • Experience working within a food processing company
  • Ability to work in a high pressure environment
  • Good knowledge of H&S, Environmental Practices,
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal & Written
  • Embrace and demonstrate continuous improvement behaviours
  • Have a working knowledge and skill s in tools and components used in maintenance and repairs
  • Strong leadership skills
