Job Desciption

: Desktop Support Engineer

  • Salary: €24.5k to €27.5k depending on level / experience.
  • Benefits: Up-to-10% of gross salary as bonus (after probation period).
  • Location: Client site in Athlone.
  • Hours: 9am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime: Occasional (paid or time-in-lieu).
  • Holidays: 20-days per annum.
  • Probation period: 6-months.


Must have 1-yr minimum experience in helpdesk environment / basic desktop support role looking for a progressive career move.

  • Must be self-starter and capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Must enjoy working as part of a team is a busy work environment.
  • Must have strong diagnostic & troubleshooting ability.
  • Must have good telephone manner and strong communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Must have experience of working with call / ticket logging systems.
  • Must have fluent English and relevant work permits for EU.
  • Full clean driving license an advantage


  • Strong Microsoft desktop OS.
  • Strong PC hardware knowledge.
  • Strong networking (routers / switches / firewalls etc.).
  • Strong Microsoft server OS.
  • Familiar with cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS an advantage.
  • Familiarity with aviation industry software an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS an advantage.
